If you are a non-resident of Massachusetts don’t worry! You can shellfish in any area not marked “Closed to Shell Fishing.”

However, if you’re shell-fishing in the Town of Chatham itself, you will need to acquire a permit from the Town Offices at (508) 945-5180.
